Springboard offers several computer science courses to help people make their dream career change. These online programs pair instruction from industry experts with career coaching to show results in six to nine months.
Springboard is an online learning platform that offers high-quality online bootcamps across several career tracks. Students devote 15 to 20 hours per week to their studies in any program, with the exception of prep courses.
The school has up-to-date course materials to ensure that students land the job of their dreams within a few months of graduating. After an easy application process, students have several options to pay for their education.
Springboard has programs in four categories: coding, cyber security, data, and design. Each category has different online courses, but all offer the same capstone projects and job guarantees.
The Springboard coding program features a single full course, but there’s also a prep course to prepare students for the journey ahead. Over four to six weeks, prep course students will learn the basics of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript in order to pass the admissions test for software engineering. In the software engineering bootcamp, students learn full-stack engineering with JavaScript and Python.

Tuition: $490 – $10,350
There’s only one cyber security course at Springboard, created in partnership with CompTIA. The course prepares students to take the CompTIA Security+ certification exam. Students learn to protect systems from internal and external threats with audits and stress tests.

Tuition: $9,540
Springboard offers several options for budding data scientists in its data science career track. The data analytics bootcamp trains students to analyze business problems to find solutions.
The data science bootcamp teaches students to build machine learning models to predict business trends. The ML engineering and data engineering bootcamps teach students to build deep learning and data infrastructures, respectively.

Tuition: $6,600 – $8,940
There are three full-time design programs at Springboard to help students launch a new career. Introduction to Design helps students build a strong foundation that they will grow during the other two courses.
The UI/UX Design course teaches students to design products that marry form and function for a pleasant user experience. The UX Design course trains students to understand users’ needs when designing.
Location: Online
Tuition: $490 – $11,691
The application process is generally the same for all Springboard courses. These programs are designed for people with a baseline of familiarity with the subject. Students who already have a robust foundation in the field have a better chance of success in these fast-paced programs.
Students start the admissions process by submitting an online application. Next, there is an interview with an admissions director and a skills survey. The skills survey is different depending on the program, so it’s key to research what you’ll need to know before applying.
Students can join the program after passing the skills survey. They have different financing options at their disposal if they can’t afford the upfront fee.
Springboard students have four payment options in the full career tracks. First, they can pay upfront, which will earn them a discount on the total cost of tuition. This discount can be a percentage of the tuition or a flat $1,000.
Students can also pay on a monthly basis for up to six months, paying only for the months in which they actually take lessons. Because Springboard’s courses are self-guided, this option allows you to pay less money if you complete the curriculum in less time.
Finally, students can also choose to defer tuition until after they land a job, or take out a loan with low monthly payments through Climb Credit.

The curriculum is well structured and the mentors are a great deal of support for the price. The only thing that I had trouble with was completing the program in the advertised amount of time. I think in total I averaged about 25-30 hours a week over the course of 7 months, but that could have been due to the complexity of my capstone projects. I definitely learned a ton in that time period though and they were very supportive the whole time!

I chose to do the UX Design course with a goal of completing within 3 months. I was lucky to be paired with a mentor with many years of experience and he was instrumental in taking my capstone project to the next level. He was available and flexible to meet my tight deadline for completion and I am grateful for his support through the whole process. The content itself is easy to work through and when I did have a question regarding the curriculum, my mentor was able to quickly answer and clarify. This is a great course for people looking to see a glimpse into the UX process and I think a great starting point! There is so much more to learn of course but I feel I have the real-world skills to start incorporating these into my daily routines as a designer.

My experience with Springboard was AWESOME. I started the program with no experience, the curriculum, mentors and career coaches were excellent. I had a terrific time learning and now I have invaluable skills!

The Springboard Data Science track is a well-rounded bootcamp program. Over the course of six months, there are two major projects, weekly calls with an industry professional, several career coaching sessions and ample study material. The cohort participation is a little lacking but for a program that is online and for working professionals that is to be expected. I wish there were more post-bootcamp resources available regarding interview prep. Overall this is well worth the price and students will get the most out of this program.

As a working professional, I’ve learned that constant learning is essential for career success! As such, I had a great experience with Springboard’s data science courses and was expecting the same out of their business analytics course. I really enjoyed learning about the various concepts taught in the program: data modeling, dashboarding, customer life-time value among many others. Despite being familiar with the basics of these and other concepts (I have a Master’s Degree in a program that covered these areas) I was very surprised at how much I didn’t know and how much I learned through Springboard.
The course work is challenging and have applied it to my current work on various projects. However, the most valuable aspect of my experience with this program was the mentorship I received as I completed the course. My mentor was someone who provide some of the most valuable advise and guidance with respect to business analytics. Being a business analyst himself it was great to hear about this field from someone who has been working with these concepts at such an advanced level.
I summarize this review by saying that my expectations were exceeded, I learned a lot, and I was able to apply the concepts and advise I received in this course immediately to my work. I whole-heartedly recommend this course if you are interested in learning about (or learning more about) business analytics. Enjoy!

Springboard’s curriculum is a nicely curated selection of resources around the web that pay attention to the core concepts of UX design, starting with its history and evolution and continuing into a nicely-paced guide to doing the steps yourself. I think the real star of the show is the 1:1 weekly mentor calls included in the course, which do well to provide a real voice to real world experience, and have the added bonus of keeping you on task.
