Only military veterans or military spouses are eligible for Code Platoon’s bootcamp. Its application process is rigorous as this school only accepts intelligent and hardworking people.
The application process is fairly straightforward. It starts with filling out a form with your personal information, including scholarship and VA funding interests. After completing the first part of the application process, you will receive a link sending you to the next part of the application process, testing your coding ability and problem-solving skills.
If you pass, Code Platoon will schedule an interview. During the interview, you will answer a series of essay questions to test your computer programming skills. The school’s interviewing board will also ask a series of questions to determine if you are a perfect fit.
The total cost of Code Platoon’s full-stack program is $16,000. The school requires its students to pay a deposit of $500 after acceptance. Students can choose to pay the whole amount upfront.
If that option doesn’t work for you, consider obtaining the Veterans Affairs coverage, better known as VA funding. This option allows military veterans to get funding assistance through the GI Bill, VR&E, and VET TEC.
The other financing option that Code Platoon students have is scholarships. This school offers a wide range of scholarships for different demographics, including veterans and spouses, women, transgender veterans, and Black and Hispanic veterans.
