Code Fellows Programs

Whether you are a tech newbie or already know your way around a few programming languages, Code Fellows caters to everyone. Its programs are designed specifically to get you into the software or cyber security career of your dreams.

The school’s courses each follow a level system. You will move through a series of courses that get increasingly more challenging as you build up your skill set.

Software Development

The software development program at Code Fellows consists of five levels, starting from Code 101 for beginners and finishing at Code 501, which is advanced.

Code 101 is a one-day workshop that covers software and web development basics. The 500-level courses are usually 10 weeks and deal with advanced skills such as iOS app development or building web apps with React and Redux.

Throughout these course levels, you will cover all the subjects necessary to conquer the world of software development. In general, you can expect to learn JavaScript, app development, data analysis, and machine learning. The prices of these courses differ depending on the level and length of the course.

Code Fellows Application Process

The Code Fellows application process differs depending on the level of the course you’re applying for. If you are applying for a foundational course, you will simply need to sign up online. However, if you are applying for an intermediate class or above, you’ll have to pass a screening process.

Once you fill out the online application, the admissions team will contact you for an interview and will send you an entrance test to complete.

The interview will include general get-to-know-you questions, as well as questions about your goals and educational background. The exam will consist of technical questions related to coding. If you pass it, you’ll be accepted.

Code Fellows Tuition and Financing Options

Paying tuition fees upfront at a coding bootcamp isn’t a realistic option for most students. To help with this, Code Fellows offers several financing options, including loans, tuition discounts, and scholarships.

The school’s loans are offered in partnership with Climb Credit and Skill Fund. Its scholarships are available for women, unrepresented communities, veterans, and applicants who are unemployed. The school also accepts GI Bill benefits, which offers discounts to veterans and their family members.
